Experiences and Classes

Farm Visit

Experience farm life up close! Enjoy the joys of a farm petting zoo meeting, feeding and petting our goats, chickens and pigs without the crowds. You can also fish in the pond or take a guided nature walk where you will learn how to identify native trees by their leaves and bark, and by using field guides.  We'll be on the lookout for wildflowers, critters and insects, too.Feel free to take photos to capture your farm memories. $10 per person for one hour. 

Canning and Preserving/Foraging

Learn how to safely can the bounty of your garden or your favorite items from the farmer's market so you can enjoy them throughout the year. You provide the produce and jars, and we provide the instruction.  We can also introduce you to foraging, where you can learn to identify edible and medicinal plants, many of which can be turned into food products. Class length/prices vary depending on product, but start at $50.

Egg Candling and Hatching

If you are planning to hatch your own chicks at home, you need to be able to tell which ones are viable throughout the process. This class will give you with all the info you need to have a successful hatch. Class lasts about 45 minutes and costs $25.

Hoof trimming for goats

Receive one-on-one instruction in trimming the hooves of goats at our farm. Want us to come to your farm for the instruction? No problem. Class length and price vary depending on needed instruction, but start at $50.
